The Richmond Bridge Boat Club is three years old!
Saturday 4th June 2016 was an epic day for our club. With perfect timing to celebrate our third birthday, we took delivery of our brand new cutter FOXY. A special team was assembled following a blind auction to row the boat from The Ahoy Centre, where it was built, to bring it back to our base in Richmond.
A small typo on the official shirts made the day all the more memorable and ensured none of us would ever forget the ‘Inaugral Row’! The cutter was officially launched by club president Bamber Gascoigne (gracefully wearing one of the shirts!).
This was followed by a fabulous celebration at our clubhouse with resident band “Buddy Flame and The Rockets” rocking the riverside.
It was a huge milestone for our club – still a toddler, but taking our first steps to greatness.
To celebrate this and our amazing success story we have a weekend of fun and activities planned for you, your family and friends. Members and non-members are all equally welcome.
Friday 3rd June from 6pm:
Come for a cool after-work drink at the RBBC clubhouse on Richmond Riverside.
Saturday 4th June 3-8pm:
